A Truly Blonde Moment.
I have these alot. Those times when God speaks to me in such an obvious way that I feel saying, Duh, you're such a blonde." Anyone else? Well, I feel like God is telling me to write my thoughts down and I couldn't think of a better way than through a blog. This way, I can hold myself accountable to my blonde moments!
I was reading Revelations earlier and I came to the passage that reads, They willsee his face, and his name will be on there foreheads. There will be nor more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light and they will reign forever and ever. Rev. 22:4-5
For me, the night can be a time of peaceful sleep, or it can be just the opposite. A time of great anxiety, loneliness, and fear. It seems I'm loneliest in the night when everyone else in my house is soundly sleeping. Something about the darkness, the thick darkness that feels like you could literally cut it with a knife..... the quiet. Why are we so scared of the quiet in this day and age? We are. In the darkest hours, I'm afraid of the quiet. Not so sure if I'm afraid of what I will hear or won't hear. There haven't been many nights that I have seen 2 am, 3am, 4am... but the times I have (especially with my newborn babies), have been fearful. I would almost fear the night and anxiously await the rising of the sun. Such is true in my Christian walk, when I am away from God in the cold, dark night... it may seem okay for a while... but eventually I start to see that this is not where I belong. The darkness doesn't feel like home. As I came to these verses, they reassured me that my Heavenly Home will never don nightfall. We will not even need the sun.
